Reading Irony

I have been reading more books in the past few weeks than I have in ages, and I have no complaints about that. Where does the irony come in? I have hardly any desire to write. My usual impulse to publish blog posts has dwindled in direct proportion to my increased compulsion to read.

So, please bear with me if the posts are few and far between in the next week or two. I do have a couple of reviews planned for next week, but other than that I am going with the flow and enjoying this reading gluttony. Last week I read four books, this week I have already almost finished three. I know that that is a normal rate of reading for some folks, but I usually only read two books a week if I'm on the ball. Which means at some point down the line I will be posting a lot of reviews (once the urge to write returns).

I'm curious, do you have times of reading gluttony that correspond directly to a lack of interest in writing? This is really the first time I have noticed it in such a profound manner. For example, this post would normally be an easy one for me to jot down, but this time it has taken me forever to think of the right words. My mind is just coming up blank . . . I think I'll go read some more.
